Lemosho Route 8 Days Tour

The 8 days Lemosho route itinerary provides an additional day for acclimatization to Kilimanjaro. An 8-day Kilimanjaro package was used, including mountain trekking along the Lemosho route starting at the Londorossi gate and descending via another route, the weka route. This climb used to start at the Londorossi gate, but now the 8-day route starts at the Lemosho gate. Please click on the price tab to see how much the mountain trekking package costs and includes.

Among the interesting places that you can see while hiking this route are: Lava Tower, Barranco Wall and the beautiful Shira Plateau on the way to Uhuru Peak. The main form of accommodation is camping. Your mountain expedition crew consists of guides and porters will pitch your tents and set up camp before you arrive from your daily hikes.

Below is a route map for the 8-day Kilimanjaro climb along the Lemosho route, starting from the Lemosho Gate towards Uhuru Peak and descending the mountain to exit through the Mweka Gate along the Mweka Route. As indicated on the map, the route includes overnight stops at Mti Mkubwa, Shira One, Moir Hut, Lava Tower, Barranco Camp, Karanga, and then summits via Barafu Camp.
